What We Know So Far About Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” will bring the time-traveling villain Kang the Conqueror to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the film kicks off Phase 5. The movie, which is set to release in February, is the third installment in the “Ant-Man” franchise.

At the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, Marvel Studios unveiled their upcoming projects and Quantumania was one of them. This third Ant-Man movie marks the beginning of Phase 5 in the MCU, and Phase 6 will be starting in early 2025 with a new Fantastic Four reboot.

These next two phases are expected to be shorter than usual, this is due to Marvel Studios increasing the output of new projects post Disney Plus shows. The “Multiverse Saga” is set to end in 2026 with Avengers: Secret Wars which will take less time to fully develop than the “Infinity Saga” (2008-2019).

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” is the third installment in the “Ant-Man” franchise, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not much is known about the plot of “Quantumania” at this time, but it is expected to continue the story of Scott Lang/Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd, and Hope van Dyne/Wasp, played by Evangeline Lilly, as they team up to take on new challenges.

It is also confirmed that the film will introduce a new villain known as Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling villain from the comics. Kang will be played by Jonathan Majors.

The film is directed by Peyton Reed, who also directed the first two “Ant-Man” films. It also stars Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Michael Peña. who are all reprising their roles from previous films in the franchise.

It’s been stated that the movie will have a connection to the 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” that will see the return of the character of Janet van Dyne played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

The release date for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” was initially set for February 2022, but it has been delayed to an unspecified date due to the ongoing pandemic. The production for the movie also faced some delays but it is expected to be released in future.

Fans of the “Ant-Man” franchise can look forward to more action and humor, as well as a continuation of the characters’ compelling stories and relationships.
