“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” will bring the time-traveling villain Kang the Conqueror to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the film kicks off Phase 5. The movie, which is set to release in February, is the third installment in the “Ant-Man” franchise.
At the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, Marvel Studios unveiled their upcoming projects and Quantumania was one of them. This third Ant-Man movie marks the beginning of Phase 5 in the MCU, and Phase 6 will be starting in early 2025 with a new Fantastic Four reboot.
These next two phases are expected to be shorter than usual, this is due to Marvel Studios increasing the output of new projects post Disney Plus shows. The “Multiverse Saga” is set to end in 2026 with Avengers: Secret Wars which will take less time to fully develop than the “Infinity Saga” (2008-2019).
